How to Avoid eBay Scams by Buyers – Top Ten Rules for Successful Selling on eBay
10 – Put disclaimers in your description saying that you film your packaging. Scare the bad buyers off

9 – Be thorough with your listings. Don’t scrimp on pictures and detail in the description. If there’s something wrong with your item, state it.

8 – What’s safest for the buyer isn’t necessarily safest for you. A cleared cheque, cash, or cryptocurrency is actually safer for a seller. PayPal transactions can be reversed if someone complains to their credit card company. Sadly the only advice I can offer here is don’t be complacent and think that PayPal protects you as a seller and, I’m going to say this a lot, but don’t sell things you can’t afford to lose.

7 – If you sell to someone and you’re worried because they have low feedback, phone ebay and share your concerns. There may be a way to cancel the transaction.

6 – There is actually a setting where you can block specific buyers and stop buyers with negative feedback from buying your items.

5 – Send by recorded delivery methods with insurance.

4 – Package your items properly and professionally. There is something to be said for the physchology of receiving a well packaged item. Receiving items wrapped in newspaper or bin liners puts you in a bad mood straight away as a buyer. Also, you must assume that postal services will mistreat your item so wrap your item well so that it could survive falling from space. That way, it won’t break in transit and you won’t have to deal with the dreaded “item damaged in transit” ebay cases.

3 – Best offers allow you to vet a buyer. If they have low feedback or bad feedback you can reject their offers

2 – Don’t sell high value electronics or items that you’d be distraught to lose

1 – Don’t be scared. eBay is an eco system with most buyers and sellers working together for the good of the platform. A few bad apples ruin the reputation but as long as you follow the rules I’ve mentioned in this video and no single sale has the power to finish you financially, if you hit a bump in the road you can just ride over it and continue to sell on ebay.
